GR8 Food Truck Fridays

We are back for our 10th season of GR8 food truck Fridays at Riverside Park. Grand Rapids favorite family friendly event of the summer. Our upcoming season will consist of 14 weeks, will have an artisan village, live music, beer tent supporting local nonprofits and of course over 20+ food trucks each and every week.

So grab your friends, family and fur babies (if you have them), bring a blanket, some chairs and head down to riverside park and find a spot to hang out. Listen to great music while supporting local food trucks and artisans.

Food Truck Lineup

Each week our 20+ food truck line up rotates. There are a couple of ways to know who's going to be there.

1) Follow our Facebook pages

and

GR8 Food truck Fridays

we post the coming weeks schedule every Monday on these pages and the facebook event pages we create. 

​

2) Download the Heart of Food app

We partner with the nonprofit organization called Heart of Food.

They have an app that has all of our event information, including the line up for the coming week. Plus many other great features. 

​

3) Grab yourself the Food Truck Fridays Almanac.

We have our own little magazine dedicated to food truck Fridays event information as well as all of our other events. It is your only spot to be able to look ahead to know when your favorite truck will be in attendance. 

Almanac is available for free at all of our events. 

Frequent Fridays Card

Pick up your free card at our GR8 Food trucks tent during the event.

Every week you attend GR8 Food Truck Fridays stop by our tent and get your stamp. (no purchase necessary)

​

At the end of the season you can then enter your card into different drawings for prizes based on how many stamps you collected during our season. 

​

In the past we have given away 75" tvs, electric bike, flat top grills, pizza ovens, gift cards and more. 

All of our events are family friendly, including well behaved leashed furry family members. We encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair and/or blanket. Find a space enjoy your food, listen to great music and mingle with your neighbors. 
That is what community is all about!

City of Grand Rapids Parking Rules

  • 3 feet from a driveway

  • 15 feet from fire hydrants

  • 15 feet from or within intersections

  • 20 feet from marked crosswalks

  • 20 feet from railroad tracks

  • 30 feet from a flashing signal, stop sign, or traffic signal

Event Parking

New in 2026!
Parking will be allowed on the grass next to the event space.
Parking on the grass in any other location is a violation of city ordinance and subject to ticket. 

We understand that parking is frustrating. We ask that everyone be respectful of the neighborhood, and park only in legal parking spaces. 

We do have bike parking near the southeast entrance. 

We do not have an open application link for events. Application links are emailed directly to those on our mailing list to prevent spam. if you would like To get on our mailing list for applications please email us and tell us about your business. All food trucks must have a valid city of Grand Rapids food truck license at the time of applying for events.

the Application window for all events opens December 20th and Each event has a different application window length. However by March 30th all events are fully booked and any application requests will be added to next year.
